Season 1 Poem 1

It's not fake it till you make it It's phuck up till you're good at it Master art of total failure and Returning to scene of disaster With broke tooth ear grin Eager to miss another shot Drink up the mockery of Those who deem you mad Steer own trail blazed with heart A destination beyond bars of Societies cage filled with dead dreams

These poems came out of an every day writing practice. They're composed in a single draft with basically no edits.

The initial idea for this was from awhile ago to do a poem every week for a year creating a campaign that could be effective in this social media era. It was going to be done with NFTs but the friction of them and need to be terminally online for success in that world didn't work for me.

The poems for season one I started writing in prep for that campaign. They have been sitting in my over the shoulder brief case, that I use for poetry gigs, collecting cosmic energy, at least that's what I tell myself, in preparation for activation.

Recently the poems popped back into my awareness and realized Metalabel provides all the features I need.

I've pulled them out and am now activating the first season of these. In preparation for this project with NFTs I bought a pack of post it notes to use. It remains unopened and will crack it for the second season. I don't know if there will be a third season. It's just a project to get me writing and connecting with the world.

This is a relationship building project. When you collect a piece in this series your also gaining access to an exclusive channel in an online creative community called WyldFlower Meadow that is built on the DFOS platfom, Dark Forest Operating Sysstem. It's a community that supports a creative life and comradery of others on the journey.

The poems themselves are deeply contemplative. I don't start with any particular idea. More a process of tuning in. It's not necessarily a first thought best thought scenario. There's usually a bit of brewing in the mind to see what want's to emerge. I've found that there's always something there to be discovered and that's what this writing is really about. This is a vital part of what art is for me a tool for discovery. To cast into the depths of being with a line to see what stirs in the murky depths that have no bottom. So fathomless they can't even fathom themselves. Thus everything emerges from nothing. A well spring that bubbles forth without thought or care. A mystery for us all to lean into and trust it's all working out even if the roof is caving in. There's great work to do and this poetry is part of my work.

This is an experiment and it's just casting the line out into the world. Don't be scared take a bite. You'll be hooked but it's a good hooked where you land yourself by digging yourself.
